About Shaking Hands Productions

We have been involved in video production for two decades and have been creating wedding films for couples for the past 15 years. The style and approach we take ensures you aren’t given just a video, but rather a carefully edited, cinematically beautiful film, full of all of the la crème moments of the day. We love the details, and it is those details that make each wedding completely different from the last. Trusting someone to capture all of those details and memories is not an easy task, but we know our work speaks to the experience we bring and the care that we take to each wedding. You can see many of our events gracing the pages of publications such as Martha Stewart Weddings, The Knot, Magnolia Rouge, Inside Weddings, and more..

Brad Bennett / Founder

Brad was introduced to the wedding industry fresh out of high school and hasn't looked back since. Having spent most of his later teen years as a video freelancer, Brad is now a seasoned video producer with a passion for telling stories through the medium of film. He is the owner of Shaking Hands Productions, husband to his beautiful bride, Lyndsey, and father to their sweet daughter, Lex. Brad enjoys traveling, music, surfing, and training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Austin / Editor & STUDIO MANAGER

Having been Editor of Shaking Hands Productions since 2011, Austin takes pride in crafting such personal films for couples. It was during his time at the College of William and Mary where Austin found a love for storytelling + film. In addition to editing, his other work has allowed him the opportunity to produce and write for a variety of promotional campaigns and film such notable figures as the Dalai Lama. Outside of film, Austin is involved with local schools directing shows for the theatre.

RANDI / CINEMATOGRAPHER

Randi has assisted the Shaking Hands team since 2015 and has grown into an avid and talented cinematographer in her own right. She’s passionate about film, photography, and any artistic forms of expression. Apart from her full-time work, you can find her shooting film photography, watching a spooky movie, at the gym, or exploring the outdoors.

Sunghye3_about.png

sunghye / cinematographer

Sunghye always wanted to be involved in the visual arts field as long as she can remember, though it wasn't clear exactly how. The journey took her from a university in South Korea to producing videos for The Kennedy Center in DC as well as working with Shaking Hands Productions so far. She enjoys every aspect of live production, and of course, wedding cinematography. When not working, she can be found in movie theatres or martial arts gym training Muay Thai.
