About Shaking Hands Productions
We have been involved in video production for over a decade and have been creating wedding films for couples for the past 10 years. The style and approach we take ensures you aren’t given just a video, but rather a carefully edited, cinematically beautiful film, full of all of the la crème moments of the day. We love the details, and it is those details that make each wedding completely different from the last. Trusting someone to capture all of those details and memories is not an easy task, but we hope our work speaks to the experience we bring and the care that we take to each wedding. You can see many of our events gracing the pages of publications such as Weddings Unveiled, The Knot, Southern Weddings, Inside Weddings, and more..
Brad Bennett / Founder
Brad was introduced to the wedding industry fresh out of high school (2003) and hasn't looked back since. Having spent most of his later teen years as a video freelancer, Brad is now a seasoned video producer with a passion for telling stories through the medium of film. He is the owner of Shaking Hands Productions, and husband to his beautiful bride, Lyndsey. Brad enjoys traveling, music, surfing, and training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Austin / Editor
Having been Editor of Shaking Hands Productions since 2011, Austin takes pride in crafting such personal films for couples. It was during his time at the College of William and Mary where Austin found a love for storytelling and film. In addition to editing, his other work has allowed him the opportunity to produce and write for a variety of promotional campaigns, and even film such notable figures as the Dalai Lama. Outside of film, Austin is involved with the local schools directing shows for the theatre.
Kelli / Cinematographer
Kelli, a graduate of the University of Virginia, has been working with Shaking Hands Productions for over 5 years now. While she has many passions, film has always been near the top of the list. When she's not watching a good movie, you'll usually find her with a camera in hand, eagerly exploring and filming new places. In her free time, she enjoys rowing on the Potomac river and traveling as much as possible.
Kristen / CINEMATOGRAPHER
Kristen began her work in videography during college. She graduated in 2008 with a degree in video broadcasting and now, in addition to filming for Shaking Hands, she serves as a videographer and editor for a Central Virginia-based ad agency. When not working on a video, Kristen can usually be found sipping a cup of coffee while reading a book, writing a screenplay, or dabbling in the process of writing (and sometimes playing) classical music.
